I recently bought a laptop and installed separately purchased Office software
(Student and Teacher version). I am returning the computer, and uninstalled
the Office software, but I want to be sure to remove the online activation so
I will be able to install and use that license on a new computer (since it
will no longer be used on this computer). When I uninstalled did it
automatically "unactivate?" Thanks so much!

Hi Ida,

There isn't a deactivation process. When you install
on the new computer if the online activation doesn't
work for you, you can use the telephone activation
method to explain your scenario to a MS technician.

Though as it's the STE, Robert, she won't have problems as it allows for
installation on up to three systems.
