Whenever I open any MS Word doc containing form fields, the fields display
brackets at the beginning and end of the entry line, partially covering up
the first and last characters of the entered text (e.g. "[field text]" but
the open bracket covers up the f and the close bracket covers up the t). I
emailed the same document to a co-worker and when they opened the doc, the
brackets did not display. I had another co-worker log in on my computer
using their own login and password and open one of the form docs and the
brackets did not display. This leads me to believe the brackets in the
fields is something specific to my personal MS Word settings, but I have been
unable to find any customized setting to deselect this. All of the built-in
Word Assistants require unprotecting the document, which I cannot do. I do
not believe it should matter though, because it is not specific to any single
form doc file, but generic to all form docs I try to open. Is there some way
for me to get MS Word to stop displaying those brackets? Thanks.
