Whenever I open any MS Word doc containing form fields, the fields display

brackets did not display.  I had another co-worker log in on my computer
using their own login and password and open one of the form docs and the
brackets did not display.  This leads me to believe the brackets in the
fields is something specific to my personal MS Word settings, but I have been
unable to find any customized setting to deselect this.  All of the built-in
Word Assistants require unprotecting the document, which I cannot do.  I do
not believe it should matter though, because it is not specific to any single
form doc file, but generic to all form docs I try to open.  Is there some way
for me to get MS Word to stop displaying those brackets?  Thanks.
