How do I remove Contact folders from Mail Favourite Folders

Somehow (I dont know how!), some of my Contacts folders are now appearing in
my Mail Favourite Folders - in random positions.

I can neither remove nor move these.

When I right-click on these, there is no option to "Remove from Favourite
Folders".
However, there is an option "Remove from My Contacts".
Unfortunately selecting this does not remove the entry from Favourite
Folders - the only effect I do see is that righ-clicking on it again now has
the option "Add To My Contacts" istead of "Remove...".

Can anyone help?
