How do I remove deleted files from my inbox?

When I open my 'In Box' in Outlook, I get a lot of junk mail that I delete
without opening. I don't want to continue to see the mail I deleted, but it
shows still with a line drawn through it to indicate that it has been deleted.

I also move a lot of mail to folders, but the original piece of mail still
shows in my in box with a line drawn through it to indicate that it has been
moved. I just want it to disappear after I've moved it to a folder.

you are using an imap account... there is a hide deleted view you can use or
use a view that sorts deleted items to the end of the message list.
