How do I remove duplicate / multiple system cleanup folders?

Within the Outlook foler there are several subfolders Inbox, Sent Items, etc.
There are also multiple "System Cleanup" folders. Within the System Cleanup
folders there are varying subfolders Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, etc.

I have attempted to delete some of the multiples of "System Cleanup" which
apparently worked however once these folders were in the "Deleted" folder the
Deleted folder could not be "emptied".

I now have seven (7) System Cleanup folders. All of the individual mail
items within these folders/subfolders have been successfully deleted.
Unfortunately not the folders themselves.
