I use Outlook 2003 to access my Yahoo e-mail account.
For the past week, there have been 4 "ghost messages" that appear to be
stuck in sending mode. I do not know what these ghost messages contain or
where/how they originated. These ghost messages do not appear in my Outbox
or in my Sent Items. Each time Outlook Sends/Receives, the ghost messages
appear. For example, if I send out 1 legitimate e-mail message, the counter
on the lower right hand side of Outlook will say "sending 1 out of 5
messages".
I have also noted that my legitimate e-mail will not be sent unless I close
Outlook and re-open it. Only then will the e-mail be sent from my Outbox.
If I try to send an e-mail without first closing and re-opening Outlook, it
seems that these ghost message block my message and prevent it from getting
sent.
I would appreciate suggestions on how to (1) purge these ghost messages
and/or (2) prevent this from happening.
