how do I remove many duplicate pictures in windows photo galler

I downloaded my pictures from an external hard drive to my new computer into
windows photo gallery. Over 15000. I need an efficient way to remove many
pictures that duplicted two to four times.
I could find nothing in the Microsoft site except for duplicates in outlook
and excel.
