how do i remove space before first word at the top of page?

Hello, I am using word to type my thesis; however, I have noticed that there
is a space come before the first letter of the first word at the beginning of
each page, (not a new paragraph space)! This could be seen all over the
work, and I've tried everything, I but no luck. Please could you help me?
