how do I remove the read-only in Sidenote?

When I start up Side Note, it comes up as "read-only" and I can not edit my
notes. How do I go about removing the "read-only"?

Marianne,

Did you try to edit the data?

The "read-only" can be displayed if OneNote hasn't been used for a
while.

In most situations you can simply go ahead and edit/add new text.

Start clicking and typing. The Read-Only status is removed when the page
is activated and used.
