The "+" sign should not cause your phone to not recognize the number as long
distance. The "+" sign will get ignored in the dialing process. Most likely,
you have some other issue with the way your phone numbers are formatted. If
you provide more information, a solution could be found.
I know that there is a way to have dialling options recognize North American
long distance which would place a 1 in front of any number outside of the
calling area. i can't seem to find out how to get this feature.
I appreciated your response as it sounds like a problem with my cellular
provider and not Outlook.
