How do I repair/open a corrupt file from Excel 2000?

I found the existing messages very helpful as I really thought I wouldnt
recover my file. I have one further question as I dont have immediate access
to Excel 2003, is it just a matter of selecting open & recover, or is there
anything more I should know?
