Sometimes I use the Document Properties feature to repeat a word or phrase
throughout the document. If I need to change it, I change it in the Document
Properties then update the document. What you would be doing is inserting a
field at every point where you want the word or phrase. You must define the
field.
File menu > Properties.
When the Properties dialog box appears, click the Custom tab.
When the Custom properties page appears, enter some name for your custom
field.
Enter its value (the word or phrase).
Click Add.
The custom field now appears in the Properties list. You can modify it here
at will.
Click OK.
Back at your document, place the cursor at the point where you want the word
or phrase.
Insert menu > Field
When the Field dialog box opens, click DocProperty in the Field names list.
When the Properties list appears, click your custom field.
Click OK.
The word or phrase you defined now appears at the cursor point in the
document.
Right-click the field to open the popup menu so you can see how to updateit
when you change the value at some point in the future.
Hope this helps!
The easy way is to block each of your common phrases and then turn
them to auto-correct items in Tools - Auto-correct.
Prefix the short name with \ or # or or > something else you seldom
use.
For example I have to put in "This page intentionally left blank"
multiple times so I call this \bp (for blank page). I created it once
with 125 pt above para spacing, in a single cell table with borders
how I needed them and then selected the whole lot including the page
break before. Now \bp does the whole thing in a split second. I also
create all my common tables this way \t5 is 5 columns with header and
second row cells preformatted with font and para settings, header
repeating, rows do not break across pages, etc..
Happy shortcutting
