How do I reply and thank people for their help?

i tried the normal 'Reply' button and typed a message in the blank form
addressed to '(e-mail address removed)' and it found its way into my own outbox
on my 'puter. When I sent it, it bounced back as undeliverable.

Best wishes

Hi John,
A lot of people don't use their real email address when they post - to avoid
spam. If you want to say thanks just post back to the newsgroup.

When you saw '(e-mail address removed)'
in the address bar that meant that the poster
had used a phony e-mail address and they
were telling you to post or reply directly
to the newsgroup
