I can't find anywhere on the Office website to file a bug report. Is there a
way, or would Microsoft prefer to remain blissfully ignorant of any bugs they
don't find themselves?
Here's my bug: My default printer is a network printer connected via an SMB
share. I also have several drives mapped to shared folders on the same host.
The host requires me to login prior to using resources on that host. Logging
in once is sufficient for access to all shares on that machine, and my login
credentials are cached until I reboot (I haven't tried logging out).
Now, if I try to print from Word 2003 (don't know about other versions)
without logging on to the remote host--such as by opening one of the shared
folders--Word crashes. I'd have to reboot to find the exact error message,
since I neglected to make a note of it.
