How do I reset Access permissions?

I was trying to set up my DB permissions and somehow removed Administer
permissions from the only Admin account. Now I can open the file, but I
can't access any data. Is there a way to reset the security, or am I just
going to have to rebuild the DB?

Just rejoin your default workgroup. (I'm assuming you created a new
workgroup file before you started messing with security?)

Your database file would not need to be rebuilt. The workgroup file is
where your permissions are stored. The database is intact.

And I did that. Apparently the permissions were changed in that workgroup
file before I created a new one.

Then you need to get a new clean workgroup file. Either copy one from a
coworker, or move yours to a different folder and then restart ACCESS. It
will create a new system.mdw file for you.

I would not delete the original, just move it.

Okay, have tried that now. Didn't work. Luckily my database project wasn't
too large, about 60 lines (I'm just starting it). In rebuilding it, I've
been able to add some functionality. Thank you, though.

FYI. The error I was getting was "Could not read definitions; no read
definitions for table or query '____'." It only happens on this database. I
have full permisisons on others.
