how do i resize an element in a pyramid diagram?

This seems like it should be intuitive, but it isn't...... I have a tiered
pyramid diagram, with the text at the lower levels having tons of room, and
the text at the top level having almost none......would like to make the top
tier proportionally larger and the others proportionally smaller......have
tried right clicking the individual elements, and can't find suitable
options......can anyone help???

I'm using Word 2003

Thanks

While the diagram is selected, go to the Diagram toolbar, click the
Layout button, and click the AutoLayout item at the bottom to turn it
off. Then the individual pieces can be resized. You'll also see a
yellow "handle" that will let you change the angle of the sides to
make the pyramid look continuous again.
