How Do I Restore a Removed Menu Item to Main Menu in Word?

I use Office/Word 2001 on Mac System 9. I accidentally removed the
menu item "Table" from the main menu bar in Word, using
Tools/Customize. I can find no way to restore it short of reinstalling
Word afresh. Can anyone help? Standard help instructions tell you to
go to Customize then hold down control while clicking the menu then
reset from the contextual menu, but you cannot do this if the menu item
has be removed.

One way:

View/Toolbars/Customize. Select Menu Bar (so that the title is
highlighted, not just the checkbox checked) and click Reset.
