How do I restore generate photo preview in Picture Manager?

I have one file of photos that were downloaded from my camera in Microsoft
Office Picture Manager that I have viewed and modified for several years, but
suddenly I cannot view them. The message reads "preview not available" The
icons and photo information is there, but no matter what I try, I cannot view
the photos. Please Help!
