How do I restore permanently deleted calendar items in Outlook?

Office 2003. I accidently deleted a calendar item, then permanently deleted
it from the deleted files folder. I looked in my recycle bin, but there is
nothing about Office Calendar items in there. I hope to be able to find it
somewhere on my computer and retrieve this recurring calendar item because I
had made individual notes on several of the occurences and I have lost them
all! Can any tech-savvy person help answer me and point me to how to recover
this file?

Calendar entries (and other items within Outlook) are not files won't appear
in the Recycle Bin in Windows.

If you use an Exchange account, then Exchange's Recover Deleted Items feature
should help. If you're using a PST to store your data, there's no good way to
recover a permanently deleted item except from a recent backup. You do make
frequent backups, correct? Other than that, your only hope is here:
