how do i restore slide thumbnail view in 2007/2010

I opened a "compatibility mode" presentation in powerpoint 2010 beta, and the
slide thumbnail viewer was missing. I have looked everywhere, i believe, and
cannot figure out how to restore it. i know its kind of a stupid question,
but it was much easier in previous versions, and i am not familiar with this
version yet.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
