How do I retain address book and contacts when moving ISP?

When I moved ISP's from dial-up at TPG.com.au to broadband at Telstra
Bigpond.com, all the old emails, the address book and contacts disappeared.
How do I recover these?

How did you "move"; what did you change? Your emails and contacts should
still be in your original PST file. Please give us more details on what
you did; also Outlook version and account types.

They should all be in your default PST which you really should still be
using. All you needed to do was remove the TPG email account and add the
Telstra one.
How did you "migrate" Outlook to the new email account?
