How do I retrieve a file from the recycle bin after it has been emptied

I had a file in my recyle bin that I was planning to
restore, but before I could do this the recycle bin was
emptied. Is there a way to find the file on the computer
and restore it.

Your best bet is to run an "undelete" utility; you can find them using an
internet search engine. However, this isn't really a supported scenario,
and it's likely that the file has already been overwritten, particularly if
you've continued to use the computer.
