How do I retrieve the contacts folder?

I use office xp pro. I had a lot of contacts in outlook. Then, I had a system
crash and could not boot XP. So, I bought another disk and installed XP and
XP office pro on it. I was able to retreive all my old documents from the old
drive by taking ownership of them and copying them to the new disk. But, how
do I retrieve the old contacts from outlook? If the disk were running the
operating system, I would just "export" them, but I cannot boot from that
drive. Is it as simple as copying a folder from the old disk to the new one?
Thanks,

"Is it as simple as copying a folder from the old disk to the new one?
" - almost. Your Outlook data should be stored in a possibly hidden file
with a .PST extension. It is often called Outlook.PST. Open it in Outlook
and copy whatever you like over.

Hi, Bill. I was able to go through the process of opening the Outlook.pst
file on the original disk. But, nothing happened. It just took me back to my
outlook window. no original contacts, nothing.

You need to select folders in the PST you cave opened to open them and see
the contents.

If users want to retrieve the contacts folder from a PST then I have the best solution that can retrieve all Outlook emails, attachments, Contacts, etc. files and save them in a folder those attachments separately into another folder in a selective location by users. If users want independent software that has no need for Outlook extension then this ToolsBaer Outlook Attachments Extractor Tool to extract all attachments from Outlook emails, contacts, and calendars, users will get the opportunity to preview all data before extracting data. It works without making any errors in safe environments. This tool can easily connect with Outlook in all versions and is installed on Windows operating systems. Try their free trial.
