How do I return a onenote note flag to undefined?

Beater_bike

I want to delete the definition of a onenote note flag. I want that flag to
no longer be on the note flag tool bar. If I change the name to "undefined"
it shows up on the tool bar under that name. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Beater_bike

As far as I know - Once you have edited a note flag definition, there is no
way to make it go back to being undefined. That is a special way OneNote
marks the flags that have not been defined yet. I think you will need to
live with having the flags show once you have defined them the first time.

Now, if anyone else out there knows of a way to change them back - let us
know - PLEASE!

To remove: Right-click, Remove Note Flags from Selection.

If you have the Customize My Note Flags panel open (Format/Note
Flags/Customize My Note Flag) select the flag in the listing, then at the
bottom of the panel, tap the Modify... button.

I know how to remove the flag from flagged content :) I am talking about
setting flag names back to the original undefined so that they don't show in
the note flags toolbar. If you change the name of a note flag away from
Undefined, you can't change it back. You get an error reading "A note flag
by that name already exists. Use a different name and try again."

Okay. That's true. But you can delete the flag from an item, and rename
the designation.

I've not been able to find a way. I've reset the icon and given it a name
of "undefined " but it still shows on the toolbar.
