How do I rotate a selected object?

When I printed from a pdf file, the print out was in landscape view on the
pdf. When it printed in OneNote, the entire page rotated to fit (I guess)
the OneNote page. Now I'm trying to figure out how to rotate that pdf page
within the OneNote page 90 degrees so that I can read it easier.
When I highlight the selection, the rotate tool on the drawing toolbar
doesn't allow me to do anything. Sure would be nice if it did.
