can I do this on outlook 2000 ?

Do you mean replies that YOU send in answer to an email, or replies that you
get SENT in answer to an email you sent?

I mean replies that I get sent - I'd like to send an email to a specific
group of people but have their replies routed to a specific folder in my inbox

Look up "Rules" in help. I'm not sure, but I don't think Rules will move
messages to sub-folders of the Inbox. (I may be wrong........). If I'm
right, you will need to set up folders outside of the Inbox.

Rules can move messages to any folder in the profile - the only exceptions
relates to roaming Exchange server users under certain conditions.

Thanks for the info - I'm sure that rules wouldn't move messages to inbox
sub-folders at some time in some email client.....the trouble is I've used
so many in the past ten years I've forgotten!
