How do I save a custom made Notebook Template?

If I design my own layout for a OneNote 2007 notebook (not just a page), how
do I save it so that I can reuse it later?

OneNote does not have Notebook templates.
Of course, *ANY* Notebook is just a Windows Folder, with the .one
files inside being the sections and the subfolders of this Windows
Folder are the section groups. And the .one files in these section
group folders, are the sections within that section group ....

so.....

You can manually copy OneNote Notebooks in Windows Explorer and then
just open them up from OneNote and that will accomplish what you
want. Fairly simply.

Thanks for responding so quickly. Thanks for the advice. If you click on the
"New" tab in OneNote 2007, then click on Notebook, it will give you a list of
templates to choose from. Would it be possible to modify one of those to suit
my needs? Or to do one from scratch? Thanks.

Actually...
The OneNote Notebook templates are stored at:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ONENOTE\12\Notebook
Templates

The files here are onepkg files. To create your own notebook templates, save
the notebook as a OneNote Package in that folder. It should then show up in
your list of templates when you create a new notebook.

Thanks Kathy. Great minds think alike. That is exactly what I did and when I
logged back on to the discussion group to tell everyone, I found your
comment. Thanks very much.

Another question, Kathy. When I save a page as a template and it apears in
the My Templates section, which folder is that saved under and what kind of
file is it? Thanks.

Sorry about the delay in responding. I was out of town Friday to Sunday and
am just now getting caught up

Stuff that is stored in "My templates" as a page template can be found in
the My Templates.one file in
C:\Users\%youruseid%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates folder

This is a regular .one file with pages for each template you created and
didn't store somewhere else.
