How do I save a drawing as a high resolution graphic?

Ted

My book publisher wants to have my drawings in a higher resolution graphic. I
do not know how to save a drawing in word as a high resolution graphic.
Is it possible to save drawings in Word at 300 dpi?

Word isn't a graphics program, Ted. However, you COULD possibly (I really
don't know!!) get SnagIt from www.techsmith.com and try taking some really
high-res screen captures, and see if they will suffice. You could then paste
in your screen captures to replace the Word drawings. Office drawing tools
aren't really meant to replace good graphics.

Hi Ted,

Is this Word2003?
You could "print" to the "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer" and then save as a TIF to get a bitmap with a high resolution.

If you have some vector drawing program, you could also try to copy/paste into that: Some vector graphics format such as EPS would probably much better for printing (with smaller file sizes) than even comressed TIFFs.

Ask your publisher what format(s) (s)he prefers.

Regards,
Klaus
