How do I save a picture in word as it's own separate .jpg file?

Emma

I was sent a word document which has photographs in it, however I want to
save these pictures by themselves as a .jpg or something as their own stand
alone files. I have tried copying and pasting them in microsoft paint and
programs such as adobe photoshop etc however when I do that they lose their
clarity and the colours etc become distorted. Can anyone please help?

Use SaveAs to save in HTM format. The graphics get saved separately, in a
folder called 'Files for ...' Quality is variable, but sometimes acceptable.
Better to go back to the person who created the document and ask for the
originals.
