how do i save an email template in outlook 2007?

i want to save an email template in outlook (by template i mean that i want
to click on 1 email template and make changes while keeping the original
unchanged and re-useable) and have it appear in outlook in my folders (not
drafts).

i also want to share these templates with my co-workers... i know there is a
way to do this in 2003 but i cannot figure out how to do it in 2007. please
advise.

file save as? then select as oft.

to publish as a form, go to the office icon and choose editor options from
the lower right of the flyout - the option to show the dev tools ribbon is
on the default options page. Publishing is on that tab.

because I can't install ifolder on vista and that's how I normally keep my
templates on all workstations.

Have you tried them with non-Outlook recipients? My experience is that they get Winmail.dat.

Yes, my gmail account is BCCd on all of them. The forms are plain text with
some boilerplate content and the address filled in and sending account
preselected. There is not a winmail.dat... but in all cases they either get
sent directly through exchange or go to another server for processing before
being sent.




Have you tried them with non-Outlook recipients? My experience is that they
get Winmail.dat.

Just curious: Is your gmail address set in Outlook to always get plain text?

until 5 min ago it was a one-off, so it used let outlook decide... I was
planning on playing with the form and sending it through a different server
that won't process it and potentially remove the winmail.dat - so now it's
in contacts and set to always use plain.

ok.. .set to always use plain leaves a winmail.dat on it. Exchange was
deleting it and it was getting dropped during processing on the other
server.




Just curious: Is your gmail address set in Outlook to always get plain text?
