Hi =?Utf-8?B?SnVsaWU=?=,
Everytime I open Word 2003, I have to recheck the box in customize, options
and then
show screentips on toolbars. How can I keep this checked once and for all?
this is likely controlled by the DATA key in the Registry. One might see
something like this if the key were damaged. Then one would delete the key so
that Word can regenerate one with the default settings. You'll find an article
on word.mvps.org that describes how to do this.
However, I'm wondering if this couldn't also be some kind of Addin, such as
Adobe PDF, that's interfering with the setting. We've been seeing a lot of
this kind of stuff, recently.
If you hold CTRL down when starting Word, to go into Safe Mode (lock out any
Addins), make the change, then quit and restart Word normally, has the change
been kept?
