how do I save words with macrons to custom.dic

Living in New Zealand, I use words with macrons alot.

I know how to assign keys to allow for macron letters, but word 2002s
custom.dic wont recognise them. Can anyone tell me how to teach word to save
( add to dictionary ) words with macrons.

Unless you actually have a font set with diacritic characters, I don't think
that you can achieve this. The Custom.dic is only a simple plain text list
of added words. If you have to 'manufacture' a character (presumably using
the EE to add the macron), it cannot be saved to the custom.dic because it
is no longer unformatted. The simple act of adding it to your custom.dic
will remove the formatting.
