How do I scroll a long image onto and off a powerpoint screen?

I have a long vertical image. I would like to use animation to have the image
scroll on from the bottom of the screen and off the top. I can only get 1
screen's worth to show.

Why do experts always suggest the most complicated way to achieve something?
It is very simple CJ.

If you want your picture to scroll all the way from the bottom of the slide,
up and off the top of the slide:

Drag the picture up so that it is completely off the top of the slide then
from the Task pane choose Custom Animation. Click Add Effect and select
Crawl In from the Entrance option. The default is from bottom so all you
need to do is set the speed to your preference. When you play the slide the
picture will start scrolling up the slide and off the top. This can be on
mouse click or straight awy if you choose After Previous option instead.

There is a reason John's post suggests using a motion path instead of crawl:
Crawl is one of the animations that has a limit on how far things will go
when you use crawl (1.5 slide widths or heights)...
