I'm using Outlook 2003 (on Exchange Server 2003) and I've cobbled together a
work around by using an SQL filter on the search folder (searching the Inbox
only) as follows:
NOT
("urn:schemas:httpmail:subject" LIKE '%certain words')
However, the Outlook Status Bar still displays the total number of items in
the Inbox, which is why the SQL filter is a rather unsatisfactory work around
long term.
In the Search Folder Criteria dialogue box, Advanced Tab, I've tried various
different combinations of "Subject doesn't contain x y or z" but no joy. I
have just noticed that the "More Advanced..." button is greyed out, so I'm
thinking that this option (which I guess may be controlled via Exchange
Server?) may hold the key. Apologies if this a newbie question, please be
gentle with me, I am only a Helpdesk person.
