How do I "select" a picture from background of DOC?

O

Onceupon

I placed a picture in my word document and formatted to be behind the text.
Now I wish to copy the image, but can't select it to "bring it to front". In
the past, I've had to delete the whole section I'm working on, and reinsert
the picture, but there must be an easier way.

Help? Thanks!

As the image is floating (i.e. not set with the InLineWithText) the you can
use the Select Multiple Objects (the icon is found on the Drawing Toolbar
under Customize) to help selecting this image. Ithis dialog displays all
images/text boxes/frames/etc. that are not InLineWithText.

Display the Drawing toolbar and click on the Select Objects tool (white
arrow at the left end). This allows you to select any object in the drawing
layer without touching text.

As an additional note, if using Word 2007, you'll find Select Objects on the
Home tab, in the Editing group, under Select.
