How do I select and move drawing objects (properly)?

Hi,

Okay, uhmmm, great that we now have a drawing toolbar in OneNote2007. I've
drawn my way to what might be a little problem. I can't seem to find a
"pointer" tool to select drawing objects (lines/circles/squares) or their
boxes! When I roll over objects, only text box windows appear and not drawing
objects. If I use a drag-selection box, I can select drawing objects, but it
also selects any text boxes that the bounding box touches.

Can someone please help with a straight forward way to select drawing objects?

Regards,
Justin

Okay, thanks John. A paradigm shift was necessary to overcome the lasso tool
association with graphics software.

Interesting. I like the lasso too. It works but well and I can see it
working better in some situations. However, the simple pointer tool (with one
click selection) or roll over highlighting, will sometimes be better.

Any chance that the simple pointer/selection tool can also be made available
for adding to the toolbar at the user's discretion?

Thanks again!
The lasso tool works as a good solution.

I for one fully agree.
A pointer tool (arrow in the toolbar) would something needed.

I don't think so.
I fear that the MVP Erik Sojka was only too right when on Mai 30. he

Maybe in the next version ;) "

Erik was right. However, you should take the time (right now actually)
to submit any suggestions you have via connect.microsoft.com. The
meetings for the next version of Office (after 2007) have already
started at Microsoft, so now is really the best time to get your feature
wishes in.

Will try to put some things together next weekend.
