Is this really the only way to set your own favorite shapes?

It is really annoying when you have to work on a new document and keep
loading shapes that you need to it.

Isn't there a way to configure the default set of shapes that would open
with every new document? Do I really need to buy/download add-on to Visio?
This is really bizarre...

It's the only way that I know of. It was a feature I wanted so I went
ahead and designed and wrote it.

I assume that you know about saving workspace or templates to open with
docked stencils?
Once a master has been used on a document, a copy is placed into the local
stencil. You can arrange the local stencil how you want it to be, for
example, with your favourites at the top.
