How do I send a group email based on a category?

I have personal and business contacts in my address book. Can I seperate
them. I have them differentiated by category but can I use the category
sorter to create a group or a distribution list?

Do I ask too much of the big M?

Just use the By Category View.
Select the Category Header > Actions > New Message to Contact
