how do i send a reminder using meeting scheduler

everytime i open a meeting scheduler (i'm the organizer) and try to send an
update i'm getting a message "meeting is past date" - even though the meeting
hasn't taken place yet - what's up??? i'm stumped - and can't find anything
in print about this problem/user error.
