Am using Outlook2002 and Word2002 (soon to install Office2003), would like
to create a formatted document in Word to send in Outlook (like the nice
newsletters people send out). Presumably, you would save it as html, and
add it to an Outlook email as an attachment. Unsure exactly what I need to
do, would appreciate suggestions...
So far, can't get past the Word doc. I tried a simple one-pager with a
color box across top and a box down left side, and added a logo and some
other formatting. When I save it (which html do I pick anyway--regular or
filtered html), the format falls apart...the left margin collapses, Word
text runs over the leftside box. Also, text runs way to the right, a few
inches past the right edge of the 8.5" wide box that otherwise is width of
paper across top. (Yes, I know the paper size probably isn't relevant, but
you get the idea...the formatting and margins fall apart).
Prefer to do this in Word, it's simpler, but have lots of other packages.
Lastly, once I do get a good Word doc and go to Outlook... do I just insert
the html doc as a picture... will it be a perfectly spaced graphical email
(ideally without the reader seeing and needed to use a sliding-bar across
the bottom to read it).
Thanks,
George
