How do I send email from InfoPath 2007 without adding the form?

I have recently upgraded from InfoPath 2003 to 2007. In 2003 I was able to
set up a data connection to send an email message WITHOUT attaching the
InfoPath form itself (by blanking out the form name in the 'attachment' part
of the email). I used this in several forms for communication, notifications,
etc. and just sent a link to the SharePoint location where the form was
published.

However, InfoPath 2007 does not allow me to do this. When I blank out the
form name in the 'attachment' part of the email now, it just embeds the form
in the email message. I have searched the knowledge base and all the options,
but cannot find any way of turning off this feature. All I want to do is send
the email message - the recipients do not need to see the form because it is
already on SharePoint.

Does anyone know how to remove the form from the email?

Thanks

One trick is to have a blank view, or one with just the hyperlink to the form.
In your submit rules, switch to this view right before the email submit.
That will embed the blank view but it will not look like anything to the
recipient or just have the hyperlink.

Thanks Clay - I'll give this a try.

This is an annoyance. I have encountered the same thing with a couple of
forms. I will try this solution, but I have had problems with different
views of forms.

Also, our users aren't that sophisticated and if they can find a way to
break something they will. If the form shows up in their email, they expect
they can fill it out and submit it, but there may be more more than one email
sent and more than one person making entries. I've had several nasty emails
saying "I can't fill out this form. Why did you send it to me!"
