How do I send my Tracking Gantt view to non-project users in 2007?

I was an avid user of Project 2000. I use to be able to save any view into
an HTML format to send it to my project team who do not have MS Project. I
cannot do that now in 2007. I have a 300 line plan that I need to share with
my team. How can I do that? The Copy Picture to Office seemed like the right
answer, but no, it puts the entire 300 lines onto one page in MS Word. I
need it to span many pages. Exporting to Excel looses ALL formating so that
is not an option. I know there HAS to be a way. Any suggestions?

I think the "copy picture" is ok. But try not to paste it into MS Word put it
in MS Excel instead...

I bet your team members have MS Excel :)

And if I do that I can send it to a file instead of a printer - right? I
need to email the plan to the team.

I will give that a try. That is my preference.....so that they can provide
updates back to me via Excel.

I cannot use the Copy Picture to Office Wizard to go to Excel. It only
allows Powerpoint, Word or Visio :( I'll try a straight copy paste, but I
think I will loose formatting.

A straight copy and paste DOES loose all formating, outlining, etc. Not an
option.

When I do file print and choose a printer - in other software PDF is an
option. It is not an option in MS Project 2007. How would I print to a PDF?
I do not have Adobe Writer.

Jan, I swear I'm usually pretty Microsoft literate, but under the edit drop
down, I only have copy cell. When I do that and simply paste to Excel, I
loose all formatting - including the outline. Not an option.

Ok, that may have worked. Copy and then Paste Special, Paste as Picture.
Let me look at it some more.

Thanks!

Imatreehugr,

You can also use the Copy Picture button on the Standard toolbar.
If you select tasks before using the Copy Picture button, you can
also copy just selected tasks. You can create several GIF files in
that manner that may be easier to view.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Well, it doesn't work very well. All of the columns cut off part of the
data. Like the dates don't display the years and the ? on the duration does
not show. I cannot for the life of me get the Notes column to copy over.
And, it always adds on a small portion of the gantt picture which I don't
want. There has to be a proper way to do this. There must be many people
who need this ability!

Julie, thanks for the suggestion, however, it doesn't work very well. All of

A couple of suggestions:

If you don't want any part of the Gantt chart to print, the display
the Task Sheet view -- it is the left side of the Gantt chart view.
If you can't see the full information in the column, widen the
column.
Not sure what you mean by the Notes column to "copy over".

It will take some experimenting to get it just right.
