How do I set a Section or Folder to Read-Only

I have taken some class notes and never want to alter them. I have a
separate tab for each lecture. I don't want to accidentally overtype them
ever. How to I set a Section or Folder to read-only explicitly and have it
stay that way until I explicitly remove its read-only status?

For example, I noticed in the Microsoft-provided Section "Helpful Tips" one
can be reading it and then accidentally type over it, changing its contents.
That's a perfect example of what I'm trying to accomplish and why.

Naturally, a product this robust must have been designed to allow a user to
do that, it's such a basic function. But I'll be darned that I can't find it
in Help or by playing around with its features, it's so well hidden.

So, how does one mark a folder or section Read-Only?

Thanks.

Sounds like a good suggession. As a temporary solution, you can check the
read-only attribute of the corresponding .one file, using file-explorer.
OneNote grays out all the editing options on that section. (For obvious
reasons, this is at a section level and not at a page level.). Let's wait
and see if we can have this kind of features in next releases.

Thank you very much, Prasada. This will indeed work as a temporary solution.
