How do I set an auto response to email in Outlook?

Would like simple instructions on setting up an auto response to email in
Outlook 2003. The instructions so far have not been clear enought to achieve
desired result. Can not find where to make a specific template that has
response message.

just make a new message, enter what you want, then file/save as/outlook
template. You can set up the autoresponse in the rules wizard, using start
with a blank template then using the check boxes, it's all there.
