How do I set default shape formats?

I'm tired of having to go and turn off the shadow on all the shapes I drop
into my Basic Flowchart diagram. I would also like to be able to set a
different default font for the text in the shapes. Is there any way of doing
this?

you could consider creating your own flow chart stencil and then copy/modify
the shapes you want to it so they look the way you want. The alternative is
to edit the shapes in the existing stencil to what you would like.
