How do I set Entourage up for checking for mail when opening?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop When Entourage opens it doesn't automatically check for mail instead I have to hit the send/receive button. How do I set it to check automatically? Can this also be set to check before closing?

Open Schedules. Select "At Startup" and "on quit".
