How do I set MS Picture Manager as my default picture editor?

I downloaded some other pictute editing programs onto my computer and for
some reason when I go to edit a picture it uses the program that was last
downloaded. First it was Picasa, now its Adobe Photoshop. Why didn't it
stay with MS and how do I get it back to MS? It does the same thing when I
download photos from memory card from printer to pc. At least now when they
are coming off the memory card I know it asks what program I want to use, but
isn't there a way I can make it use MS all of the time without me having to
select it? tia!!

r-click on the picture and select open with and choose.

Many programs "assume" that if you install it, you want that program to be
the primary one. Now and then a program will prompt you to select.

Change you file associations and you'll be fine.
