How do I set Outlook to show progress on send/receive as default?

I can see progress only manually. I used to click on send/receive and it
would automatically show progress. Possibly some setting was changed, but I
don't know what I may have done.

Any help is appreciated.

Tools-> Send/Receive-> Send/Receive Settings-> Show Progress
there is also a tick box in the send/receive dialog.
