How do I Set reminder within Project XP to appear in Outlook

Scarab

I have recently upgraded from Project / office 2000 to Project / Office XP. I
used to use the set reminder option within tools/workgroup section. On
upgrading to Office XP this option is no longer here, has it been renamed or
available under another option?

Hi Scarab,

You are welcome for the assistance and thanks for the feedback.

Just to clarify, the instructions included with the URL was a "one-time"
only process. After you have enabled the workgroup feature, you should be
able to send the tasks and request updates as you do in Project 2000.

Hi,

this option is still available in Microsoft Project 2002, 2003 and 2007 -
how ever hidden. To add this feature to an existing toolbar, please perfom
the following steps:

1. Got to Tools/Customize/Toolbars
2. Switch to tab Commands
3. Select All Commands
4. Scroll to ReminderSet
5. Drop the toolbar button on a toolbar of your choice
6. Click Close

Now you can add a reminder in your local Outlook as task with reminder for
selected Project tasks from you local MS Project.

Best,
Renke
